On November 1, 2009 the Cures for Kids Foundation was pleased to host the very first Makin’ Magic show event. Sponsored by the Boston Pizza Foundation, a magic show featuring the famed magician John Kaplan excited, surprised, thrilled and entertained an audience of children and parents alike. Other sponsors included Empire Marketing Ltd., and the Kiel Investment Group.  Held at the Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver, the dazzling program focused on fun, laughter, music and magical illusions. Over 400 guests filled the auditorium in support, and participated in the Houdini’s Trunk Raffle, concession and other activities making the day an astounding success. The Cures for Kids Foundation is thrilled to announce that over $15,000 was raised in benefit of the pediatric oncology department at B.C. Children’s Hospital.
